The title of this blog is "Linear Love : The Journey Home".
You may be asking, what does that even mean? What is Linear Love?
In the gospel of Luke chapter 3, John the Baptist describes what Jesus will do for humanity as he declares:
"Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill be made low, and the crooked shall become straight and the rough places shall become level ways and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." (Luke 3:5-6)
I love this passage as it gives us a visual image of the transformation that occurs when we are saved from the clutches of sin and death through Jesus blood. The high places become low, the low places are filled, the rough becomes smooth, the crooked is miraculously made straight. We are made linear. There are no more roadblocks keeping us from the Father's love when we receive the salvation found in Jesus Christ. I experienced this transformation in my own life as the mountains in my life (my pride and selfish ambitions) were brought low and the valleys (the hollow, depressed void in my heart) were filled.

I now have a linear love with the Father as Jesus removed all the gunk to make a straight line without any hinderances that I can use 24/7 to receive my creator's limitless love for me. This is linear love. This is the context behind the title for this blog and I hope that you would seek for yourself to receive the salvation of Jesus if you haven't already as He is faithful and loving and desires to fill the entirety of your heart with his abundant, infinite, love.
